I have to disagree with you there.

Example #1... I travel abroad all the time. Sometimes it's just a small 4 hour flight to Caracas, and others it's a big nasty 13 hour flight to Tokyo. IF I am lucky enough to check my mail at the Narita airport due to extra time, I will do so. If not, I have yet another 7 hour flight from Tokyo to Bangkok where it will take me at least an hour to get though immigration and to my apartment. All of this time I am out of reach. No airphones on these flights.

Example #2... I often shoot in way out of the way places such as the mountains of Colombia... or sometimes in Havana where there is no connection to the outside world. No internet. No phones. No nothing. Again, I am out of reach. There is no calling me, there is no sending me an e-mail in these locations. Are there are plenty of locations like this.

I'm sure I could find another example but I think 2 should be enough for the time being.

With all that said... There should be a 2nd in command to take care of such matters in the event you are out of reach.
