8. Why havn't you started your own program with your brother? I heard you tried a few times?

I explained in an earlier friend that my brother and I are very close- he is my REAL brother, my best friend and a great guy to be around. he is one of the most generous people you'll ever meet as well-

I just have seen too many families and friends torn apart from business relationships. My parents were a clear example of this years ago.

My bro and I did try to launch a paysite for pimpandho.com about a year and a half ago with the famous rapper- Too Short.

Scheduling problems with him touring, a problem with a webmaster who left for Hungary to hide form people set us back months- we finally realized it wasn't the right opportunity for us at that time. I call it a blessing in disguise. I am still very friendly with Todd " Too Short" and I do business with him when I can in the form of bookings, appearances and endorsement deals.

Also to be quite honest with you, when I started in this business I was very cynical- I truly believed what everyone was doing online was illegal and would be stopped when the credit card companies and surfers realized tha they were being dinged monthly-
Back then it wasn't uncommon to see those surfers even get double and triple billed

of course these things were chalked up as stat malfunctions and "glitches" but people made blood money.

when SPAM came along , again I felt it was dangerous and not an intelligent thing to attach myself to. I sat back and watched my friends make MILLIONS OF DOLLARS

Am I bitter?
NO
Why?
I see the problems daily that many webmasters face today-I deal and have dealt, with a broad spectrum of clients that run the gamut- from dating sites to sex toys, penis pills, to celebrity sex tapes- I have seen some products marketed effectively and pan out to make millions...
I saw other people get sued by Microsoft, the DOJ, and also Paris Hilton and Rick Saloman Law firms

In the end with the new legislation being propsed for 2257 as wel las this bastardization of .XXX

I have never felt better about not having the responsibilties of being a web owner-

Look, I may take jabs at a lot of people and have had my go rounds with a lot of webmasters but I think it's important for me to say that I think that it takes big balls to run a program and pay webmasters on time, I also think the risks some of you take are pioneering and gutsy.

I may not like some of you...but I DO HOWEVER RESPECT SOMEONE WHO HAS THE NUTS TO BE A WEBMASTER.

More so today than ever-

My business model is simple, I am subcontracted for a monthly fee + over rides and do special promotions for national TV people that incorporate their brands and bring them to the mainstream press in way that doesn't make our business look malevolent. I implement marketing strategies that are effective- either in the form of cross promotional marketing, viral marketing or direct marketing

I do this better than anyone in this business.

I am clean cut, (somewhat of a preppy), I have no criminal record, and I am well spoken.

As a lawyer once said about me during the height of the Paris Hilton Scandal " KB I got to hand it to you, I was Rick Saloman's Attorney and was the one who tried to serve you and turn your life upside down"....

He glanced over the table, looked me square in the eye and said to me

" You know I went through miles of papers, watched every TV appearance you made, and listened to every morning radio show you did surrounding our case against you and sexbrat- I have to take my hat off to you- You never slipped up once, and everything you said was within your legal rights, and you never defamed anyone or gave up more information than was needed" " You also made your industry look more like a business than freakshow"


I also helped that same attorney with the Cameron Diaz case I cannot talk too much about-

Let's just say, this powerful law firm is most grateful of my good deeds, and I have gained a new attorney and a great friend from that entire ordeal

One who represents Bill Clinton, Schwartzenegger, Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael Douglas and Paula Abdul-

And you can never have too many friends like that.
By the way Cameron likes what I did for her as well
I may get a XMAS card this year

All in all - with my business model I am A-OK because it's very hard to SHOOT THE MESSENGER
