I hate spiders. I seemed to never have a problem with them until 4th grade when my mother took me to a spider exihibit at UC Berkeley as a way to deal with her own fears. She placed a spider on her hand for several minutes to work through the phobia. She said it worked! The only problem was... she grabbed my hand and dropped the tarantula into my palm. Eeek! I flipped the spider across the room and ran! Since then, I HATE SPIDERS.
