i quit smoking almost 3 months ago, cold turkey, and havent smoked since. heres a website that helped me (its all free) www.quitnet.com
the trick to stop smoking is to WANT to quit, not because you should or because you'll save money, but because you WANT to!! i failed everytime except when i wanted to quit. i was sick of not being able to taste foods, smell things, coughing every morning, smelling like smoke, and spending over $40 a WEEK on it!! to me, that all just seemed insane, so thats where i got my "want" to quit.

and remember, if you can get passed day 1 (yes, day 1!) of quitting smoking, then you can do it!!!!!

You are dead-on correct. The ONLY reason I am suceeding now is because I am doing something I love, and I'm only doing it for my love of Kempo. The weight lose is just an extra benefit. I've tried to lose weight before, and I've done it. I lost a lot on weight watchers, but put it all back on + more. Not because I couldn't do it, but because I had no inner will to do it. I thought I understood what people meant by a lifestyle change, but I really didn't. Now that I am living the change, I know exactly what they are talking about it.

The greatest part of this, is that I'm having so much fun doing it, it doesn't seem like hard work at all.
