It was funny, the first month was the easiest without soda. Most of it was just breaking a habit and not the addiction part. But then in the second and third months, if I was thirsty and someone around me had a soda, I too wanted a soda.
I found the key to leaving soda behind is to drink plenty of water. When I'm thirsty I'm more likely to want to make a poor choice with food or drink...so keeping up on water has helped me kick the soda habit.
I learned that we burn about 750 calories in a Kempo class. It takes just 2 sodas to put those calories back on you. I'd rather stick with water :-)
