I don't think the United States will let China take over any country in the area. With the United States' crusade against tyranny and opression, why would the US allow China to take a country over? The US wouldn't even have to step in with its military, all it would have to do is stop all trade with the communist nation and it would start sinking from there. I doubt any other countries would keep trading with China after the US says not to, the US is just too powerful economically to lose for countries that would think of trading with China.
