Paul is amazing, I agree. But I just find it ironic, you thought enough - to regard/correlate this topic with a beatle (aka the beatles). Yet didn't even make reference to John even thereafter strumming off a few others besides Paul on your list. You get what I mean? If you truly appreciate Paul, I don't see how John doesn't squeeze his way into your life.


I mean regarding "song writing" ability, I think we all know John was the driving force. We won't even have to compare careers, simply look at 'The Beatles' (White). The contrast is clear, McCartney is singing about Martha my Dear (great song, but very pop-ish), or Honey Pie. And then you have Lennon with a Happiness is a Warm Gun. That is written with so much creative freedom, it could be perceived as a kicking-heroin song, underlying sexual innuendo, or just an all out anti-gun campaign.*


*IMO obviously.
