Most likely, the dead person is a "nobody" who was a known criminal and thus the Police will likely not do much ... but one can't be certain ... and being that there's likely no statue of limitations (even if the death is classified as accidental), all folks involved would likely do best to never mention the incident at all ever again to anyone unless legally required to do so ... As an update the reason for the charges for my friends is resisting arrest without violence. I did not know this until talking to them. Evidently the cops asked some questions and tempers flared and the cops did what they do. I still do not understand why they would have been "resisting" since there was no reason for them to be arrested.
The guy who died has an extensive history with the police. He is considered a drifter who does this as a proffesion. He had warrants in 6 states. He was scum. As stated above I have now found out the charges have nothing to do with the guy getting hit but my friends mouths when dealing with the cops.
This is not something I am surprised about with these guys and their lawyer will have them out on Monday and thinks the charges will be dropped.
Thanks for your input.
