It is retarded, I agree. But the guy I know takes it so seriously that he is moving out of the place he shares with his girlfriend because of this and breaking his part of the lease. Plus he says that this is the type of stuff that people get shot for, for disrespecting him by ignoring him and looking at his significant
other instead. I think that when you get to a certain age you have to just let the small things slide and just move on. But he says that it's not a "small thing" and that it's the small things that count.
