I call bullshit. I have been to Germany, Israel, Russia, Belarus, Poland and many more.
Yes i will agree that food and real estate, things are domestic to their respective country are a lot cheaper. But for anything that is imported, the price is usually lot more than that of the price in the U.S.
As for the relation ship between average income and average cost of living, it is pretty much the same as that of the U.S, but for the most part, prices are higher on what you import.
