2257 has about as much a chance of stopping CP, as gun laws stop gun crimes.
As for the rest of the talk, the fears of DOJ having lists of confidental members, and all that other jazz in about 100 misc threads...
the DOJ has a list gents. I have a friend (old college roomate) IN the DOJ. 2257 is just about putting some teeth into it. No more. No less. That is how they (gov't, bureaus, etc) work.
When they go after people, such as CP, illegals, and so forth.. they need a law on the books that gives them the rights, clearly defined, so they can take whatever actions, and have the right to raid, ask for, or do what they want in the cases.
