He received a domain renewel notice in the mail and left it in his bedroom at home. His mom, normally never gets into his room was getting his dirty clothes and found it. She checked out the site and than called the company he registered the domain in. There she found out about him having the domain and paying for all that with a credit - debit card she allowed to use him from his checking account he wanted to badly (now she knew why)
She contacted his host and since he was underage she requested all the money back he paid for hosting or would sue the hosting company because you need to be of legal age (18) to sign any contracts. She got it back!
She contacted all his sponsors on the sites and told them, they closed his accounts and kept the money, since he was underage.
I think he is now grounded for life. Thats the story I got from him befor I never seen him again on ICQ and his site is gone now.
I never knew and we linked him from a bunch of sites and he linked us back. His sites I knew did well because we received a lot of traffic from them.

I guess it pays to be 18 and start it. However maybe you want to start free sites like e-zines and get traffic on them. Than when youre 18 nail them with ads. Than you already have the traffic

IF she had half a brain she would have made him save up for his own university costs or something.. jeez.. meter out punishment but reward resourcefulness... maybe get a hand with the mortgage in return for allowing him to continue.. fuck theres any number of ways for both parties to benefit.. It sucks when kneejerk reactionism outweighs rational thought. Guess she was very religious or something.
my only problem with 16yr olds is that with the amount of cheaters and less than upstanding community members we have in this industry getting them in that young doesn't help.. a 16 year old is far more likely to not care of the consequences of his actions as someone older.. they haven't had to bear the brunt of their own decisions yet..
of course im not saying the youngsters are all nefarious.. but for instance, i was just down at the supermarket and while i was in shopping, two 16 year olds kicked trolleys into the front of my car.. just little cocks out at night with a few drinks in them.. they don't understand the value of property yet.. they still get fed and clothes washed by their mothers..
luckily the car didn't get a scratch on it.. we got a name of one of the check out girls who went to school with them.. if there was so much as a dent they would have been very fucking sorry.. would have done their fucking parents job for them.... though they didn't even have the brains to damage a car properly.. kicked the trolleys into the front fender which stopped the paint from getting scratched.. losers.
