I've never heard the term "grass on" before either... but you guys seem a little up tight about it, relax a little ;)
And about the spammers.... report them to whoever you can but don't waste too much time on it. If you keep getting the spam after you contact the affiliate program then file an FTC report against em. That's the only way to get these idiots to stop supporting spam.
Read up on can spam compliance... if the emails are in violation the FTC will take action if it's within their power (for US based affiliate programs).
