Hoppers are now force-feed. They used a conical paddle to push the balls into a spring-loaded tensioned stack, giving feed rates of up to 35 bps. My DM4 can get up to 25 bps (around that) without a single break if I set it to that speed. Most of the time I leave it capped at 15 for the tournaments I play.
