What he's done is bring a ton of publicity to his cause by using shock value. He goes to the extreme to get people to listen to his point. The US military is nothing but a killing machine that murders people all around the globe in the name of profits for US corporations, nothing more, they certainly don't defend "freedom". The guy may be an idiot and cheering on soldiers dying is not cool in my opinion, but he's right about his underlying point. People should think before blindly supporting troops that kill innocent people all around the world who pose no threat to the USA or any other country.
