He had no reason to allow anyone else to do any more intrusive examinations of his wife. The doctors had come to their conclusions, no one disagreed except the whacked out people Terry's parents chose. The 'following the balloon clip' was just that. It was a clip from a much much longer video. He had nothing to prove. I doubt you really think Terry's parents would have relented given more testing. Or DeLay or whoever else wanted to exploit this poor woman's existance for their own political gain or bolster their sense of moral superiority. Was he a dick? Absolutely not. He was backed up by the courts and doctors time and time again. This poor man was put through so much at no fault of his own despite his efforts to keep the wishes of his dying wife.
Seriously what a huge asshole he was. If I am ever married I'll pray my spouse has the intestinal fortitude he has had over the years.
