The US and Britain backed Isreal back then too. Now US taxpayers mainly subsidize Isreal(militarily).
If the US stopped supporting Isreal today, I wonder how long until there is an exchange of nukes between the Muslims(including Pakistan) and Jews(Isreal).
Even though the fall out would be catastrophic to the entire world, I think it would be worth it to see these two stupid religous factions decimated.
