If someone were to offer this on an offshore outsourced basis for $500 a month, would people be interested? I ask because some people might think $500 may be too much.

Currently some colleges are offering degrees or classes in Internet Marketing. Although they won't give you the keys to an algorithim that will change in a few months, they will give you the mindset to be a good SEO.

To be good at SEO, I've always felt you needed a few skills:

1) Math and Logic. You just have to know how to figure out problems and why things are happening. I can remember a few logic classes in college that really helped me in the industry.

2) Study. Read the SEO boards, read the books and articles by the respected names in the industry. Talk to other SEOs, and just pick up knowledge. A lot of the best stuff I learned came from picking the brains of others who were succesful.

3) Research. Books, articles, and all the math skills in the world can't show you what to do. You have to see it for yourself. You have to see how tweaking something can change your rankings. You have to make mistakes along the way.
