don't name your prices. tell people you work "cheap" and let them come to you. now you've set an all-time low for work on this board, and many people will now use your bid as a baseline for what php/mysql work is priced as nowadays.
besides, the adult business has some decent money. you can probably still make $20/hour easily if you hook up with people on here personally. i myself would never pay anyone $6-8/hour for anything, unless they're making me a sub sandwich or a hamburger.
now you've told everyone you'll work for $6-8/hour and they'll hold you to it. oh well.

Good advice. I think the guy could get $15-$20 an hour and still be competetive with a lot of the Eastern European and Indian rates. It seems like he's still learning, which all of us were at one point.
Now let me make a suggestion for you, Mike. Keep charging whatever you charge for work and hire serghei to actually do all the programming. You can go sit on a beach somewhere and wait for the checks to roll in.
