while you cant sleep take it as a blessing and do as much as you can, stay up for couple of days, exhaust yourself, the sleep will catch up.
I usually sleep anywhere between 4-6 hours a day, i feel lucky when i can sleep only 4hrs and have energy for the rest of 20 hrs. then after couple of weeks i get 1 or 2 days to sleep over 10 hours a day and be back on track.
once you get older you can't stay up as much as you used to, your body requires more time regenerating its energies.
do as much as you can while you're able to, sleep later.
