Jay has some good points, but it may not be the smartest stance for the average webmaster to take. Listen, but still cover your own ass. Unless you have the money to protect yourself, then it's best that you comply. ($250k+ to protect yourself) Jay covered the issue about the secondary producer, which is a major part.. But it sure doesn't mean the rest of the new regulations will be blocked.

Lenny makes a solid point. It's not good or wise to tell others that they don't/won't need to comply because of a ruling already in place. The judge can ignore everything and allow every part of the new regulations to take place.

The fact is the 2257 is already law, already able to enforce it. Even allowing a few parts of the new regulations to take place can still affect every adult company in the United States. Just because Joe Webmaster may not need records doesn't mean your sponsors can and will be able to comply.

For your own safety, wouldn't you want to be 100% sure that the model is over age? Do you really trust every company you promote to be honest and have legal content? What about content produced by an American, which has girls from other countries? Are you sure they are legal for you to use?

Many parts of the new regulations may not get blocked and those parts could still affect all webmasters.

Point is, get your shit in order.. Wait to see what happens but be ready to comply.
