Who's to say an adult industry writer doesn't decide to take his/her work and pitch it to the NY Times or something?? When you agree to be on a seminar you have to know that there *could* be a reporter in the room from anywhere. The liability lies within the reporter itself should they write libelous or factually incorrect statements. |
I don't think anyone knew the guy was in the room. Yes freedom of press, understood...so he has a right to write about things, but was he registered for the show? And tho it may not be mandatory to have a disclaimer at shows, any show, it doesn't hurt to be aware and remind people.
Considering the topic was such a vulnerable one to begin with, I think this hits home greater than being quoted about a 2257 issue in the industry.
It's a learning curve, unfortunately a bummer.
