THE HOTEL has plasma or flat screen tvs, a couple in the room we stayed in.
Mandalay doesnt.
THE HOTEL is much more modern, Honestly if you're only going to be in your room to sleep then who gives a shit, the fun stuff happens outside.
If you play poker I wouldn't play there, I'd go to binions or to the bellagio, cooler games and it doesn't have that annoying "kill button" that mandalay tables have.
