Im anxiously awaiting WC3.. but i wasn't the biggest fan of WC2.. there was far less "strategy" in the single player missions.. a lot of it seemed like trial and error to find the right amount of resources to use to have the right amount and diversity of troops to finish som of the levels.. I remember a few levels where you had to lose to find out what exactly to do based on how much gold was in the mine.. anyways that pissed me off.. it's a very lazy form of strategy.. but it was still a good game and all the others WC1, starcraft etc are great..
civ 1, 2 and 3 rocked nads as well.. prolly spent way more time playing those... just.. one.. more... turn....
