As far as I can tell, there's a huge percentage less lazy and fat bastards who sit in their trailer and drink beer while watching nascar on tv, so it kind of depends how you define superiority. Japanese are well ahead in technology, monks in tibet have much higher 'spiritual englightment' than your average priest... but I don't think one can compare the whole of asia with the whole of western world...and it really does depend on how you want to measure superiority (you probably want to measure it some way where YOUR culture is superior. ie. military power).
