I have some
Advent 900Mhz speakers I've had many years now, and to be honest I don't think they make them any more
, but they are AMAZING, and one of the best things I ever bought ... They are my "place anywhere" surrounds by day (and movie nights) ... and out on my sundeck w/ the DC adapters while having BBQ's, parties, and hottubs ...
Putting EIGHT "C" batteries in them allows me to take them up to 300' feet away from the receiver - even to the neighbour's house when we BBQ/drink on their deck. the batteries get used OFTEN, and they usually last me almost 2 full summers before needing replaced!
While only 15 watts/ch RMS, don't be fooled by the sound reproduction quality of these little powerhouses ... very good bass response, and yes they are loud enough to EASILY drown out 12-15 backyard drunks!
