Israel steps up the response Part 2

I just read quite a few of the posts below and must compliment you guys on one of the few decent and intelligent threads I've seen by webmasters on any of the boards I visit...

I wanted to add my thoughts but when I saw this thread was 5 pages long I thought I'd start again.. If you don't mind..

I saw that most of you were pro Israel and being Jewish but not a Zionist that is appreciated.. Now the one thing that bugs me about the current situation is:

The West Bank was under the control of Jordan for 14 years before Israel took it.. Why in all that time didn't the terrorists bomb the Jordanians because the land was meant to be theirs.. They didn't and were living under far worse conditions than now though I have been told by Israeli's that conditions aren't exactly 5 star..

The terrrorists don't just want the West Bank and Jerusalem back in Muslim hands.. They don't want there to be a State of Israel just Palestine..

Someone mentioned that a change of leaders would help.. Would it ?.. They might be even worse. The biggest fear in South Africa was what would happen when Mandella retired as his associates were far more militant than him.. So far things aren't too bad. But..Couldn't the same happen in the middle east ?

Now... The political situation in the middle east is a very mixed one. How many of you knew that Israel supplied arms to Iran in their war against Iraq or that Israel supplies arms and nuclear help to both India and South Africa.. It's 5 million against 50 million and the Israelis have just got to do what ever they can to stay alive but they must never be seen to be the agressor..
