Feeling the ground shake can be pretty disquieting for someone who has never felt it before (from an earthquake) :D
That time in Mexico when we had a 10 second tremor, my buddy who is also from Winnipeg litterally jumped off his fucking bed in a panic, causing his bed to pull about a foot out from the wall. He then proceeded to freak out and rant, and then started saying "LOOK.. LOOOK!! THE FUCKING BED MOVED A FOOT AWAY FROM THE FUCCKING WALL!!!".......
I tried telling him that my bed hadn't moved much, and that it was because of him jumping out of his so fast causing it to move more.... he wouldn't listen. I nearly had to bitchslap the fucker to calm him down.
And.... a lot of people think there are more quakes going on in SoCal than there actually are. I was there back in '82 for over a week and never felt a thing, and I know that it is actually a pretty rare occurance.
