Keeping children away
Congress asked again on Thursday for the filters in public libraries. It won't ever go through, but one day something will.
What should it be?
I say make a law that simply requires every website with questionable content (definition of this would be in the law) to have a special ratings tag. Much like RSAC works now. This is similar to what they did with TV in 96 or 97 (I don't know if that's an actual law though).
This to me is a very simple way to do this, and I'd bet this is what it will eventually come to. It would be totally impossible for anyone to complain about not liking porn sites as long as they had the filtering software.
I think anyone out there who thinks an "all porn behind AVS" law will come around one day is nuts. It'll never happen.
