It's not hard to believe, a lot of people are stupid and vote against their best interests because TV tells them to.
Unless you're;
a) worth over 5 million dollars in an industry that isn't porn and you can't afford your lifestyle while paying taxes, and so are all the people you love
b) an oil or arms manufacturing executive
c) in some industry that is committing crimes and/or causing massive environmental damage
or
d) a rapture Christian who believes the second coming is near,
you're voting against your bests interests. And you're doing so because TV tells you too, no matter how smart or tough you like to think you are. There are no benefits of voting for that party unless you fall into the groups I've mentioned. Turn the TV off for a year (yes I know that probably sounds like a joke to you), do some reading, actually think about life for a couple minutes instead of thinking about what channel to turn to next, and common sense will eventually prevail.
