After speaking with quite a few people in differnt areas in the states, it seems to be an issue with one of alter.net's routers (from what I can see from the traceroute's people gave me).
We will contact them right away so they can *hopefully* fix the issue right away....sorry for the inconvenience, but this isn't really under our control unfortunately
