Wow, Telus sure doesn't offer many Bluetooth phones, do they? It looks like that Motorola one is the only real option.

I'm not positive about this, but I think that Infinity has to limit the number of phones that will work with it. I think that because the G35 console is more like an actual computer with an opperating system, they have to "pair" each cellular phone with the system before it will connect.

In order to keep things simple, Infinity likely chose those phones and paired them for use in your car when they compiled the opperating system.

Here's a couple of options:

Have you contacted Infinity HQ? Perhaps there is an update CD that they can give you to make new Bluetooth phones work?

What phones are supported for the U.S. model of Inifinity? Remember, that you can buy a phone from the states (ebay) and have it unlocked to work with Telus here in Canada. You may want to check with an instore Telus person to make sure that you can migrate your Mike contract plan to an unlocked phone.

If you're buy a Mall, there are "multi-vendor" cell shops that carry phones from Bell, Teuls, Rogers, and Fido. If it's not busy, you'll likely be able to talk them into brining some bluetooth phones out to your car to test out. It doesn't matter if they're activated on a plan or not - your car should "see" the phone without activation.
