They did, but there was nothing known about the dead bodies yet, so no law enforcement agencies said they should keep him. They contacted everyboyd they could but nobody gave them any reason to keep him. And they didn't know it was blood on the chainsaw. It looked like blood but could have been rust etcThe article said they don't have forensics at the customs office.
