Maybe its an issue with the 7200 RPM drives?

Thanks for the tip on WD, i'll stay away from them ;)

I have 4 120GB seagate drives which are a year or two old and run perfectly.. they've even taken a lot of punishment as i use them to encode content off of...im thinking i'll stick to seagate
