By the time a kid is 7 if they are not supervised in their viewing they have seen so many murders and acts of violence it desentisizes them. I would bet anything this kid's parents let him watch anything he wanted as long as it shut him up and kept him out of their hair.

If some parent let's their 7 year old play GTA Vice City and he gets the idea to beat some other kid to death, is it the fault of the game maker who CLEARLY labels the game
M for MATURE meaning 17 and older ONLY. Or is it the fault of the parent? What do we only make games suitable for those under 10? Especially when the average age for a gamer is 29? That's the problem with this world. Too many people want to make everything suitable for 5 years olds only. That's just a lazy persons way of not doing his job of parenting.
I rent game sfor my child. He's 9. I go with him to the video store. He shows me what he wants to lay. If it says M I say NO. If it's T I have to look at it to see WHY it's a T. So that's a 50-50 chance he gets that game.
