I never said ALL dogs. Don't generalize.
Most dogs WILL chase if you run from them. They feel threatened and retaliate. Most dogs would just chase you and give up once you left their territory. Rotties, Bulls and other kilers like them would not stop until they got you.
Another thing too is that Rotties tend to be very playful animals. There have been manyc ases in the maritimes here where roties have killed kids because they thought the kid running away was just playing with them. Now picture a pair of Rotties Vs. a 6 year old kid in a play fight.
