First off, I am not a big dude. I am about 135lbs soaking wet. You ever try to beat a guy down with your fists? Know how hard it would be for me? How about if he had a knife? And/or he was high on crack or some other drug? My chances of surviving would be pretty slim I would wager.
Is this paranoia? Maybe. But why the hell would you need an alarm? Or an airbag in your car? Or a smoke detector?
I guarantee that you know at least one person who owns a gun, so long as it is legal in your country. They just don't TELL YOU because of the stigma associated with being a rambo wanna be.
