My uncle died a few weeks ago, and my aunt and his mother were going through some stuff that was packed away in her basement and came across an old nazi banner that was packed away with his fathers stuff. She called me about it and asked would I take some pics and research it and try to find more information. All I found out was that several of the names were stationed with the 751st field artillery battalion who among other locations fought mainly in northern france, rhineland and central germany, as well as ardennes (Battle of the Bulge).
This flag was taken from the wall in nazi occupied territory, and signed by alot of brave soldiers, many who show as KIA on the
ww2 memorial website.. I thought it was very cool to have a piece of history like this in my hands so I went up and took some pics last night, they arent the best quality but I thought I would share them with you. The thing is pristine, even after all these years. And its huge, 10foot long, and 4 foot wide.
The rest (Mainly pics of the names) are in this directory.
