If i were you and I heard that dreaded bump in the night I would get on all fours and start barking like a dog. Ok, maybe not.
Like I said, I am thinking about just putting a security alarm in and saying fuck the security deposit. (You can't take it with you, right?)
Also buy a gun and take some safety classes otherwise, or marry a cop.
