Look man, I care little about my valuables compared to my safety. If they are going to take them, fine.

Oh yeah and i already told you this was the first time I have had this situation occur. Where I live people have had to shoot intruders cause the cops were taking so long to get there. Snohomish County. Do a search.
I am not here trying to say everyone should own a gun. That's not the point. In fact NOT everyone should. Some people are just too stupid to act responisbly with them. You have enough sense to know you have no fucking clue about the heavy responsibility one takes on when owning a firearm or when one SHOULD use it. Kudos.
