I meet them on and off... I spent the entire day yesterday hanging out in my town -- I met about 6 new people (it was a good day) -- out of those 6 people I met I had some good conversation, but only one serious 1-on-1 dialogue -- with IM you can cut all the small talk and formalities and plug right into her mind and have her undivided attention.

I think there is some kind of romance factor involved -- you have a guy that is interested in a girl based entirely on what she has to say and not on how she looks -- that's definitely a turn-on for women... besides I write them poetry... and then there's the mystery and role playing factor...

There was another ICQ girl I met online over a year ago -- she went to school at UCLA -- when I moved to LA I ended up going out with her a couple of times -- moving to a new city, it I was nice to already know someone there...
