I have dealt with banks before
I could go on for hours about bank scams and how to avoid them. I have changed my bank quite a few times..
BofA had me arrested at one point for demanding my cash..
Infact i will tell you a little trick if they ever want to "hold" your checks.
I did something similar before trying to cash a check.. I went in late in the day just before the bank closed to cash a check..So the lady stamps it and then says she cant "cash" it because its to late in the day , and it had to be deposited until tomorrow , then i could get the money out.. I explained that i was going out of town and needed the money right now.. She says "sorry" so i said ok well then just give me the check back and i will cash it at a check cashing place. The lady says " now that i have taken the check i can't give it back " I almost went beserko. Im like "either give me the check or the money , because i am not leaving without one of them.. she proceeded to tell me i wasnt getting either back.. So i said " BANK MANAGER NOW"
Bank manager comes out , and i explained the situation and she says " sorry sir you can't get the money until tomorrow" So i said ok then im closing my account right now..
It turns out they had to give me the cash for the check because they werent allowed to give me my check back nor were they allowed to keep my check if i close my account
Drastic , but it worked..
