I'm also an athiest. And if your read the ORIGINAL pledge it doesn't have UNDER GOD in it. Try getting your facts first. The pledge had been around for over 60 years before CONGRESS put in UNDER GOD as a way of defeating communists( I know WTF how does that defeat communists? ). Also it brigns up a 2nd issue. Since when is CONGRESS allowed to change an artists original work? Can some future congress say in 40 years change the way ET ends because they'd rather have the alien stay with Elliot? That may sound silly but think about it. Someone wrote the pledge, Congress changed it when they had no legal right to do so.
The jesus freaks want creationism taught in school soon they'll want Chirstianity taught in school. Public schools are paid for by PUBLIC tax $$$( meaning MINE ) and if you want you kid to know about creationism or Jesus here's a tip, TAKE THEM TO CHURCH. If public school is full of bad athiests then PUT THEM IN A PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.
