OK so you don't actually feel you have dominion over another's person. You are just speaking of dissuading such a course of action to be taken. That is a vastly different thing.

As far as a society of morals, that is fine. However, it is NOT the government's job to regulate morality nor should it be. Once that road is taken you start to ostrasize segments or subpopulations within the larger whole who may not share certain moral values. Bottom line is that the government has no right to tell me what I should or should not do in a moral context.
