The fact is that he is a political wannabe that has made himself paranoid of the United States. There is a 99% chance that his philophy has come about by a major life failure.

He is insecure about his place in the world. He assumes that his pride is at stake in a competition between countries. A weak United States makes him feel better about where he lives. This is not new, this is the same reason why people hate the Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

Rich just gets off when misguided kids agree with his anti-bush statements, they assume that he is speaking for the democrats, but his political views about the US are actually a combination of Osama and Tim McVeigh.
