90% of the programs that are on GFY waited until now to talk to legal counsel.

That's why all of you see them all coming out with threads talking about how they are waiting to hear back from there lawyers.

The truth is not many people were as prepared as they should have been, and now they are playing catch up and, "OMG, I hope we can skate by until we get hit by the DOJ!!!".

Now a lot of programs are pushing to the 23rd of next month to get compliant. A few are relying on the posts here at GFY and advice from other similar sized or niceh'd programs.

The bottom line for a lot of affiliates at this point, is who will comply, and who will not. Who should we promote, and who should we not. What will we do if a sponsor doesn't give us the info we need?

My answer to the above question...

Ask your sponsor. Ask what they are doing to resolve the issues that are not clear. Ask what they will do for you as an affiliate should you come under fire for what you "publish" Give your sponsor the chance to explain what they have in terms of a defense for you should the injunctions proposed by the FSC and other groups not come through.

My - nothing more, nothing less. If a sponsor you are promting does not have a plan (for you as well as themselves), maybe you should reconsider who you are promoting.
