We have AT&T Callvantage VoIP and have never had a problem with it. Of course, there will always be the occasional cable internet outage but that's going to happen regardless.

We can log on to their web site and see incoming and outgoing calls as well as receive notification of voice mail messages. There is a separate number to dial for retrieving voice mail messages so we had no issues with that.

Vonage is around $24.99 a month, right? We pay $34 and change (including tax) with AT&T Callvantage. It's another option to consider.
