On a 2 week modeling trip to Budapest Liv's luggage was lost for about a week. The airline offered to compensate her $75 even though she had to go shopping and buy new things to wear, makeup etc which was more than $75. Luckily the company that she was working for ALSScan at the time picked up most of the tab.
Some airlines are better than others at dealing with there fuckups, Delta unfortunately is one of the worst with customer service and I think Continental is one of the best in my experiences.
