:mad FUCKIN' Amazon credit card

Alright I knew credit card companies were robber barons, but I didn't pay much mind up until now since I always paid on time and would be what (according to what I saw on a PBS program) they call a "deadbeat", i.e. a customer who always pays on time and therefore doesn't make them much money. So one month I'm late on a payment by two days because I was travelling and didn't mail the check in time, and BAM... over $50 in finance charges, zero grace period. I paid that off, and next month I still get finance charges and find out the hard way about "two cycle billing" (of course, the customer rep couldn't explain to me what that was, so I had to Google it to find out). The rep agreed to credit the second month's finance charges, since I complained, so it sounds like something they do as long as you don't complain. I've had enough with this Chase card.

In fact, I don't even really need a credit card but it's convenient sometimes for large purchases and maybe necessary to build up a credit history for future mortgage.

What's a good less-dishonest credit card to get? No "two cycle billing", zero grace periods, annual fees, or other bullshit.
