This is one case where it would have been the wiser course of action to not take it to the boards at all. Had Sos asked around quietly as to who knows AaronM well, I'm sure he would have found someone willing to mediate for him if that's what was needed, and I'm equally sure this mess could have been avoided if not settle amicably.
It is what it is now, enjoy the drama.
